Three Nanjing University Faculty Elected to CAS

Three professors of Nanjing University were formally inducted as members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) at a ceremony held today in Beijing. The new CAS members are Professor Chen Jun from the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Professor Lv Jian from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, and Israeli scientist Aharon Ciechanover, who is currently heading Nanjing University’s Institute of Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences. Up to now, Nanjing University has 34 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. In addition, three NJU alumni were selected as members of the "Two Academies.” They are Dr. Zhou Chenghu, Dr. Zhao Qinping and Dr. Ding Kuiling. |
